Elections 

Three board terms will renew this year. Per the bylaws, these positions are designated by SCE Credit Union for a term of 3 years and are not subject to the election process. Biographies of the designated appointees are included below.

BIOGRAPHIES

Tim Ferreira

Tim “TJ” Ferreira has been a volunteer with CFE since 2016 – teaching thousands of young adults more about budgeting and financial stability. In 2020, he joined the CFE board to further his dedication to the CFE mission of breaking the cycle of generational poverty. TJ has been leading volunteer organizations to help create more stable communities since 1998 when he was President of the CSUS Habitat for Humanity Chapter. TJ served on the boards of Friends of Foster Children in Southern California, and The Meeting Place in Las Vegas, NV. Beyond his volunteer activities, TJ is a technology and energy market consultant as well as a political activist.

 

Pascual Garrido

Pascual Garrido is the Director of Legislative and Community Affairs at SCE Credit Union and has served on the Board of the CFE for eighteen years. He is a graduate of Western CUNA Management School and has more than 33 years’ experience in financial services. Pascual has been instrumental in building strong relationships between SCE Credit Union and the underserved Hispanic community. He is a committed volunteer and has served on the boards of nonprofits such as the Weingart East Los Angeles YMCA, Salesian Boys & Girls Club and the Boyle Heights Chamber of Commerce.

Jennifer Oliver

Jennifer Oliver joined the CFE Board of Directors in 2022. She is a visionary leader with a passion for the credit union industry and believes we can make a difference in the world through financial empowerment. Jennifer holds a master’s degree in business administration and has over three decades of experience in the financial industry, where she has risen through the ranks to become a respected figure serving in executive leadership positions as an EVP, President, CFO and CEO. In her current role as CEO of SCE Credit Union, she is on a mission to empower everyone to achieve lasting financial security and achieve their dreams. Jennifer serves on the board for the Worldwide Council of Credit Unions and the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues.
